Women’s Bodybuilding Should be Taken SeriouslyBodybuilding is not just a man’s sport. Many women are just as interested and committed to it as their male counterparts. Women’s bodybuilding is not that different really. There are diet changes that need to be made to build the muscle mass. If what a woman wants is a complete transformation from their normal physique to a muscled one, including working on their abs, then they need to change their diet to reflect this. This means consuming fewer fats and more carbohydrates. The carbs that are consumed should only be from fruit, oatmeal or green vegetables. But it is the proteins that are the important muscle builders. These should include lots of chicken, eggs and whey protein. There are whey proteins supplements hat are easy to find and easy to use. Women’s bodybuilding is as tough a competitive sport as is men’s. It was taken seriously back in the 1970s after a few early contests in the 1960s. Women are judged on how feminine they look while still being judged on their muscle structure and symmetry. Many object to this double standard and would like to see women’s bodybuilding be judged more like the men’s competitions. Being a women bodybuilder is not easy. With muscles on a woman’s body being viewed by many as unfeminine they are constantly teased and hassled by those who feel that women’s bodybuilding is not a sport that should be supported. They feel it is unattractive. But some women bodybuilders believe they simply find it threatening. It is a frustrating thing for women who see that women’s bodybuilding is not taken seriously enough. The prizes are usually twenty five percent of that given to their male counterparts. This is in part because the male bodybuilders find it easier to find sponsors for their contests or for themselves personally. Many women have websites to show what they can do. They often sell videos of their posing to help support the expenses that they incur when training. These expenses can be considerable.
